Good thing he's got perseverance. From Atlanta to New Orleans, Lucky Daye tested out his brand of vintage-tinged soul through cities in the South. But things didn't really click until he hit LA, went through a bleak period, and decided to give it one last try by connecting with producer Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II. Bang. The creativity kicked in and the Daye's sound came together. Together they built seductive tracks like "Late Night" and "Roll Some Mo," key tunes from Daye's debut EP, 'I.' Oddly enough, they have a way of echoing the past while nodding to the future - a clever move that's putting the singer's name on many critics' lips right now. We brought him to hit our DSCVR stage and had him roll through "Concentrate" and "Roll Some Mo." Both turned out great. Check 'em out and get ready to meet a new fave.
