Jeff Sudbrook, Senior Publisher of the Lake County News-Herald and The Lorain County Morning Journal
Jeff Sudbrook received his Associate of Arts degree from Lakeland in 1983. While attending Lakeland, he was very active in athletics and was chosen as the All Ohio Junior College Conference Baseball Player for the 1982-1983 season. From 1984 to 1998, he served as Lakeland's sports information director. During this time, he hosted two cable television shows called "Sports Talk" and "Browns at Camp" featuring Lakeland and area high school athletes.
In 1988, Sudbrook joined The News-Herald as an account executive. He was promoted twice and became the advertising director in 1998. In 2004, he was promoted to publisher of The Morning Journal in Lorain and in 2010, he was promoted again to senior publisher of both newspapers.
Sudbrook is a former co-chair of the Lorain County United Way; board member of the Clothe-A-Child campaigns at The News-Herald and The Morning Journal. In 2010, he helped to create the Lakeland Athletic Hall of Fame, where he serves as a voting member. He also serves as a member-at-large on The Lakeland Foundation board of directors.
